Happy Thanksgiving
My parents just arrived. We have a big day planned today. We are volunteering at the homeless shelter for most of the day and then we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving sometime after 6 pm. My neighbor is coming over as well to celebrate with us.
It's days like these that people should give to the less fortunate. Some people do not have anybody to call or to be with during the holiday. Show some love to unhappy to brighten up their day. Who knows, your kindness may actually change their life. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and have a lifqual day!

Post 100!
I just noticed that I hit the 100 mark. Each post being another life lesson. It kind of gave me an idea, starting in January, everyday that month I will post a motto or phrase of something we can all live our lives by.

The Agony of Defeat
When forced into a situation that you never expected, you tend to cope with it and adapt to it. Last time I was in this predicament, I was at a down part in my life. Refusing to feel that way again, I begin to do what I did to overcome the hardship. In this case I would focus on doing more things closer to my home so that I wouldn't have to walk as much. I would limp to my neighbor's place and we would both go and help the less fortunate.
Thinking that giving into defeat would only make things worse for you, when in fact it will be defeating the agony. My motto is, live and give life as if today is your last, because karma will be with you. Have a lifqual day and relax with some oil and water...

Election Day
With crutches and doped up on medicine, I made my vote today. I personally voted for Obama because I feel that he will put the country in a good direction. I do respect any other opposite opinion if that is what you feel. Whoever does win, I hope we all as a country stay united and not split apart. Tomorrow I would highly recommend giving out some good vibes to everybody. There will be some unhappy people. Give a little of the lifqual.

Wake Up
I was in a bad car accident towards the end of September. Just a couple of broken ribs, foot, a slight concussion, spranged finger, spranged ankle, but other than that I am ok. I always get the worst injuries to myself. It's pretty hard typing with one hand. My medicine is starting to go away, I need to take some more a lay down. Blog you later. Enjoy the lifqual.

Song
I was listening to the rado and this song came on. It reminds me of having cookouts on the beach at night, fun times. Have a lifqual day.

Accident Prone
I tripped on some sand and spranged my ankle. On SAND! How is that possible? I made it possible.
So I rented Harold & Kumar and plan on having a movie night with some friends tonight since I can't really walk that much now. Enjoy the lifqual everybody.

Prepare to Surf
With Tropical Storm Gustav expected to be a hurricane and is expected to hit somewhere in the gulf coast, I'm preparing to get ready for the excitement. I'd be the lone surfer in the water.

In a World Sick with Hate . . .
. . . get well soon.
Peace and many lifquals to you.
I have a friend that was down. I gave her an unexpected hug to brighten her day. You see, when you hug somebody, they expect it, but when you hug them out of nowhere, it feels more meaningful to them, especially to a stranger.
Pain is something we all have to deal with. It's just how others come to your help when you least expect it that makes that pain feel a bit more painless.
Give a little lifqual and see how much good it gets you.
Peace & Love
Greg.

Tropical Storm Fay
Will it ever stop raining? It was fun for the first couple of days with surfing, now I'm tired of it. I can't do anything. The storm is ruining my daily routine. Just about all the roads are closed. All the stores are out of everything. It feels like the storm is holding us all hostage at home. One positive thing though is that it's allowed me to focus more on my meditation.
Stay safe my fellow Floridians and have a lifqual day.

I Am Colorado
Hypothetically chosen to rule the world, I am Colorado. I was conceived on the 4th night of the full moon to a man and woman who knew that that day would be the reckoning of the future. Growing up I never knew how special I really was. Chasing rockets with my imagination and grabbing tragedies as if it were candy. Life would never be the same. High school never knew the day. I look at my hands and felt the emotion that they can make. Tears never tasted so sweet. I grew older and entered college as if I had to. I molded minds and destroyed lives. I revolted and made peace. It was the day of a new beginning to a new end. Life passed me by. Years down the road with bloody footprints in the sand of my life I realize what I've done. I ended the world. As I lay on my death bed staring at nothingness through my blinded eyes of guilt, I come to realize my job is done. Time is short and life is everlasting. As I die on the 4th night of the full moon, a man and a woman greet me. 200 years ago would be my reckoning of the future. I am Colorado, and this is my end.
Enjoy the lifqual.

The World Outside @ 8/8/08 @ 8:08 p.m.
In the future, the world outside is hard and bitter with a deafening wind.
Time will not allow us to live like this any longer.
All hope passes by each minute of each hour of each day of every escape.
But before we can open the door, we're blown back in.
Nobody can ever leave this place for we're stuck here for a lifelong eternity.
Can this be our fate? Our only way out is the world outside.
Runaway. If it was that easy. But it's useless if we don't know where to go.
In Time, All But Nobody Can Runaway.
Think about it...and have a lifqual Friday.

Bridge of Sighs
Could you imagine seeing a bridge. The way you came from you're used to, but the other side of the bridge is foggy and you do not know what future is ahead once you cross it. On that other side their could be a much happier experience for you or it could become the worst decision you'll ever make in your life. Would you risk it all and cross that bridge?
The bridge would represent your life and how you live it. You know you can improve it if you just cross the bridge. But determining which way would be an improvement would be your decision. We are all capable of making big decisions so just think about it and make that decision that will be best for you and your life. Life being miserable will echo throughout your soul while life being happy will strengthen it. Enjoy your Monday and spread the lifqual!

Superpoweredmagnificentunstoppable
I just saw the video from Beck called Orphans. Great video and great song.
Cast out these creatures of woe
Who shattered themselves
Fighting a fire with your bare hands
Day 2 and it's like I never left. I missed my girlfriend, I missed my friends, I missed my home, I missed the beach. The party was awesome. My trip was a growing experience and I have bigger things planned for this year. Have a lifqual day. Enjoy a little Beck.

Day One
I'm home. Welcome. As my friends and neighbors and girlfriend greet me and throw me a coming home party tonight, I realize I am home. My mind is like a quicksand just pulling everything in slowly and gradually trying to soak it up. Today is going to be a blast while tomorrow is going to be better than today. Welcome Home Greg the Surfer, peace and lifqual.

Plane Over Water
I have lifted off and I'm thousands of feet in the air above the water. I close my eyes and summarize my journey here in quick flashes. I wake up and look outside my window. I see the water, so pure and clear and embracing. It pulls me in and under. I close my eyes again and let the water swallow me. I'm awaken by turbulence and we land. Lifqual.

Tomorrow Is A Minute Away
Tomorrow I leave to go back to Florida. I made some good friends here in Hawaii and I plan on coming back someday. The lifqual was present all day everyday with everybody. So many happy people everywhere. I never felt so at peace in mind, body & soul. All stress and pain that I ever had went away.
My destination from New Smyrna Beach Florida to California to Maui was a fun one. Working at doing what I love doing was a blast. But my journey is far from over. I have bigger plans for this year. I'll keep you guys updated. Peace & lifqual.

It's Almost Here
It's almost time to leave Hawaii. Just a couple more days left. What a great summer I'm having. One of the best on record.
I wrote this when I first started my blog:
As the waves crash on the shore at the sight of the first sun of the day, the world is awaken with new life with a new beginning serving a new purpose.
Greg

It means just as much now and no matter where I am, especially in Hawaii. Waking up in the morning with the fresh air and starting each day with a new purpose. Each purpose being living life to the fullest and making each one a lifqual day.
Have a lifqual day everybody.
